Dedicated to all Iranian Partisans...from all walks!

About the song:
(From wikipedia) The song Bella Ciao was sung by the left anti-fascist resistance movement in Italy, a movement by anarchists, communists, socialists and other anti-fascist partisans. The author of the lyrics is unknown, and the music seems to come from an earlier folk song sung by riceweeders in the Po Valley. Another interpretation has been given following the discovery in 2006 by Fausto Giovannardi of the CD "Klezmer - Yiddish swing music" including the melody "Koilen" played in 1919 by Mishka Ziganoff.

The song has been recorded by various artists in many different languages including Italian, Russian, Bosnian, Kurdish, Croatian, Serbian, Serbo-Croatian, Hungarian, English, Spanish, Finnish, Kabyle, German, Turkish, Japanese, Tagalog, Breton and Chinese.

Singer of this version is Lidija Percan.

Lyrics
Una mattina mi son svegliato,
o bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
Una mattina mi son svegliato,
e ho trovato l'invasor.
O partigiano, portami via,
o bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
O partigiano, portami via,
ché mi sento di morir.
E se io muoio da partigiano,
o bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
E se io muoio da partigiano,
tu mi devi seppellir.
E seppellire lassù in montagna,
o bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
E seppellire lassù in montagna,
sotto l'ombra di un bel fior.

No ordinary Orchestra!

This Orchestra is no ordinary one. Most of them have been students from various Universities, or Human Right activists who have risked their lives to escape Iran to find a way to fifth for Freedom. These women are now in a Camp called Ashraf and have been brutally attacked by pro- Mullah Badr brigade under direct orders of Iraqi so called President MALIKI . They are on Hunger strike to defend themselves against the threat of raped posed to them by the 9 Brigade in FARSI!!!!. It is now their 60th day of Hunger strike. The US which is supposed to be there to observe ans support their rights under the TREATY act and also as an obligated contract it has made with every individual of the Camp has done nothing so far to to protect them, Maliki is trying to put these people on sale to get in exchange a willful position from the Iranians in his upcoming elections. All Human Right activists are very much concerned over their blatant misuse of politics to squeeze Innocent activists and defenseless refugees. They are writing to the US embassy , singing petition

A german Poem about resistance

A French resistance member and supporter speaks:

In of Ingrid Holzhueter, Former member of the German Bundestag

Supporters of the Iranian resistance have all over the world commemorated the memory of Ingrid Holzhueter, Former member of the German Bundestag from Social Democratic Party and the president of the German branch of the Friends of a Free Iran Committee, who has unfortunately passed away this week.
She has been one valuable strong willed example of a women who had spent all her life defending the "right" , the "poor" ,"the victim" against all kinds of injustice and oppression. Since her childhood that witnessed the sad days of the II World War catastrophic effects, has wished all the time to be immaculately effective for the cause of Justice. This was exactly what her last years had testified to as she bravely stood in defense of the 1000 women activists in Camp Ashraf at all times and under arduous times.
For 10 years she represented the people of Germany as Representative and struggled in politics to defend equality and justice.
We are all sad to feel her empty seat at all meetings and gatherings.

We have a clip that has at the beginning her sun speaking and later Father Henry, a remaining member of the French Resistance Cells at the time of De-Gaul who also supports with much effort the Iranian resistance known as the PMOI against accusations and labels, always reminding similar experience they had gone through at the time of the French resistance.
His words are so dear and whole heartedly given.

Critical & worrying situation of 36 hostages in Iraq

Hostages have written their last letters to their families considering their
dreadful physical situation and still insist on pertaining their Right for Freedom.

The 36 hostages were abducted by the pro-Iranian Maliki special forces on the day of the brutal attack on Camp Ashraf- home to 1000 woman activists- and while tortured during interrogation were abused in detention and charged with false charges by staged witnesses.
The objective of the Maliki engineered charges was to elongate the hostages captivity in order to fulfill Iranian demands to harm the dissidents.
Mr. Maliki seems to be election thirsty and hoping to win the elections with Iranian support.

It is a Critical situation and we like to ask all readers to Write to the UNHCR,US Ambassador in Iraq,The White house in twitter(@whitehouse) Mr. Obama in twitter (@BarackObama) and other responsible organizations to take immediate action to :
You can also write to other effective twitters:

_ Ask the UNHCR to pursue the immediate installation of an observer in the camp.

Women at the Heart of Iran Election Protests

Batebi: how he got out : ordeal for all poltical prisoners

Let me tell you who is responsible; Mr. Khamenei, Mr.Khatami, Mr. Rafsanjani"...

Elderly challenges Supreme Leader

The elderly here when asked "why are you here?" replies:
"Ive come to get my vote back"
"From whom?"
From "Khamenei" the brave woman says!
Saying this a couple of years ago would cost you your life: Where you would be either detained, summoned and detained or questioned or labeled to be a "Monafegh" *Hypocrite- referring to the opposition PMOI who was the first to taste mass execution of its supporters during the 1980s.
In 1980 saying this would cost you a bullet or the best "being arrested and hanged the night or next day". As it happened for more than 300 teenagers who were caught on street protests of the same months of the year in 1980 and some killed on the spot some taken away and tortured to death. they too were supporters of the same movement. This is history but not repeated. Today it seems that Khamenei as Supreme Leader has not credentials or respect among people of all walks of life. It appears that his Taboo of "velaya - e - Faghih" has finally burst open, leaving a path for people to revolt against the system.

53rd day Hungerstrike: Women talk of 1000 women ..teenager and elderly alike

This clip was taken on the 53rd day of Hunger strike by Ashraf Hostages.! We have to imagine the sort of pressure inflicted on these hostages who have already been tortured!

Nazain Afshin Jam and Daniel Mitterrand among those speaking on iranelection

During the past week there has been an obvious struggle by activists, Human right supporters and activists to prove International Convents on political and civil Rights to still be effective at times of Humanitarian Crisis in the ongoing session of Human Right Council in Geneva. This struggle has been practically focused on the humiliating mockery of these international Instruments by the Iraqi Maliki government as it has so far displayed arrays of trying to show confidence above International law by defying International will to let go of the illegal standoff at the refugee Camp Ashraf.

We also have played part of this pressure by collecting so far 25000 signatures denouncing this illegal defiance and asking for the implementation of International laws.

During the sessions of Human Rights Council, NGOS of consultative Status to the UN in their speech referred to Iranian uprising and also the situation of Ashraf. Among those speaking at the session were "Daniel Mitterrand"s NGO as well as Human Rights watch with "nazain Afshin Jam".

Mrs. Mitterande and Mrs. Stango comment on Ashraf crisis

Mrs. Daniel Mitterrand, prominent Human Right defender and former member of French Resistance defends the Right of Ashraf residents to an International inquiry regarding the "Crimes of War" and "Crime Against Humanity" perpetrated by Iraqi forces specially in view of Maliki responsibility towards well being of the 36 Ashraf hostages still held after recent Judgment of a local Judge for their release. (FRENCH interview with Farsi subtitles)

Prominent international human rights organizations on September 15 in Geneva, Mr. Antonio Stango of the human rights group Helsinki Watch in Italy said: The residents of Ashraf are members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). They are ready to dedicate their lives for Iran’s freedom, but as you know, they have given up their weapons and in accordance with international laws and conventions they require protection.(English interview with Farsi subtitles)

Stango, who in September 2008 visited Camp Ashraf located 60 miles north of Baghdad near the Iranian border, added: In our trip to Ashraf, we spoke with the residents and reached the conclusion that we must be in Ashraf as an international monitor especially in view of the fact that the Iranian regime is exerting constant pressure to expel Ashraf residents from Iraq. The Iranian regime wants to close down Ashraf because it views it as a bastion for Iran’s freedom.

He added that during the visit he witnessed democratic relationships in the city as well as extremely humanitarian and friendly relations between the camp residents and Iraqi people.

Stango stressed that the Iraqi government lacks the capability and competency to protect Ashraf residents, and said: During the unjustifiable and illegal attack against Ashraf, 11 people were murdered, hundreds were injured, and 36 were taken hostage. Taking hostage ‘protected persons’ under the Geneva Convention constitutes a crime against humanity. We, too, demand the immediate release of the 36 hostages. This issue is extremely urgent because they are on a hunger strike.

Interesting clip made years ago on Women in Iran !

This is the English translation of the report about the Iranian women March which happened less than three weeks after the uprising of people in February. This report is about the resistance of women against the Islamic Regime which was from March 7 to 11th in 1979.Oppression of the Islamic Regime like other Islamic movement starts by attacking the women movement first.

We shall never let go! UK women in support of 1000

Women are at the forefront of the Iranian resistance. Their numerous presence in all uprising movements dating 20 June onwards and amongst female student activists has been the complained of by Iranian officials in numerous interviews and news articles.
Iranian mullahs’ misogynist minds have always underestimated the role women play in the political events that would lead to a fundamental change in Iran. Equality and Gender apartheid is far beyond clerical mindset and for this reason their potential and central enemies are the Iranian women who lead the uprising. These women have also in their combat for FREEDOM been able to display a role model in forms of leadership of political movements such as the PMOI in Camp Ashraf. Unfortunately in the recent attack ordered by the Iranian supreme leadership onto this residential camp in Iraq, the 1000 women leaders of the camp have been beaten, wounded and threatened to be sexually raped if they refused to be returned to Iran, where they would be persecuted. Amnesty International has so far issued 3 actions to safeguard the “protected status” named after them by the MNF-I after they, along with another 2400 agreed to give up their only means of protections in the dangerous deserts of Iraq only in return for a promised” Treaty” signed with the US commanders which guaranteed their safety until they were on Iraqi soil. The US how ever were only bystanders in the recent savage attack on the camp and whilst 11 were killed and the rest attacked by axes, sickle and nailed batons , run over by US made Humvees and lashed and beaten by pro –Iranian forces, they only filmed the scenes and did not intervene to protect the residents. Today it is the 33rd day of the women’s Hunger Strike. Many have been fail and weak and taken urgently to the clinic in the camp but refused to break their hunger strike. They have decided to stand against this injustice and deliberate silence that has caused 11 dead and would lead to more Humanitarian Catastrophe, since the camp is still under siege by the same forces that attacked them and 36 of their friends who are wounded have been abducted. These women have extended their hands out to YOU and ME for help: sign our petition on:
